Hi, I'm Markus, a lifelong educator and passionate board gamer with over 15 years of experience turning complex ideas into fun, enganging learning experiences. My journey into the world of tabletop gaming began in 2010, and since then, I've built a personal collection of over 500 board games, ranging from strategic Euro-games to story-driven dungeon crawlers.

My professional background is rooted in education - I've taught media development at the high school level, mathematics and English in elementary classrooms, and currently lecture on neurology and pathology at a massage school in Germany. This diverse teaching experience has shaped my approach to board game schooling, where I blend structured learning with creativity, storytelling, and critical thinking.

In addition to teaching, I've been deeply involved in the board game industry.  From playtesting games for various publishers, consulting on game mechanics and user experience, and running game demos at SPIEL, the world's largest board game convention. These experiences have given me insight into what makes a game not only functional, but truly memorable.
